The Underwater Historic Site of Kea is a newly established themed marine park which consists of three protected sea areas. Each covers an area of 360 acres and is located above three historical shipwrecks - newer monuments located at the bottom of the sea (the HMS Brittanic, sister ship to the Titanic, the Burdigala ocean liner, and the Patris wheeled steamer). With the help of our specialized partners, you have the opportunity to dive into the island's history in the most breathtaking way.
The most impressive ancient monument on the island is accessible by boat or -for experienced hikers- through the ancient paths. It is one of the four ancient city-states that flourished in Kea and reached a period of prosperity in the 6th and 5th centuries BC. A landscape of unsurpassed beauty that remains uninhabited and authentic from antiquity to the present day. Visit the citadel just 80 meters from the beach with the crystal clear waters, in a natural hollow of the hill.
